Can I install an Intel Processor in a computer that currently has an AMD Processor in it?

I have an HP laptop. I has a AMD Processor in it. Could I replace that processor with an Intel Processor?

why would you want to do that? AMD processors are much more capable devices when it comes to performance, so unless your Intel is more than a year newer than the AMD, stick with what you’ve got.

You are going in the right direction moving to Intel but I’m afraid the socket (the place where the cpu plugs with the motherboard) will work with one type cpu. You have to change to your motherboard too if you want to move to Intel.
