I recently purchased an off-brand AV cable for my iPod touch 3G with 3.10 software installed (I knew I shouldn’t have installed it when prompted to.) It says:”This accessory is not supported by Ipod.” Can I jailbreak the iPod or do something to fix this problem? Very frustrating. Especially when I just received it in the mail today.

It doesn’t have anything to do the firmware, jailbroken or not. It’s a hardware thing. Lots of iPod accessories on support the hard drive iPods, not ones with flash memory. You need to choose only accessories that say they’re iPhone compatible, not that just say iPod compatible.
